To demonstrate its commitment to education, The Society hosts a number of events that serve to develop the skills and knowledge of its membership.
The Society holds an educational conference on a weekend every March, which also incorporates the Annual General Meeting and a Gala Dinner.
This event is the most prestigious in the Society’s calendar and has been held every year since 1975. It attracts attendees from all over the UK as well as a number of oversees delegates.
The lectures are not totally focussed on the science of fingerprints, but cover a wide range of forensic disciplines and also include topics of interest, such as case studies.
November 2007 saw The Society hold its first Autumn Seminar in Manchester, namely “Fingerprints on the Brain”, which was based on the research of Dr. Itiel Dror, and was presented by the same.
Due to the success of the event The Society will be exploring other topics and venues to hold similar type seminars. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact our Education Coordinator.
Within this section of the website you will be able to see when and where previous conferences / events were held, and to enquire or book for future events.
