GALA DINNER

On the Friday evening, the venue will play host to the prestigious Society Gala Dinner.

This will be a black tie event and will feature an award ceremony, whereby any recipient of the following honours will receive their prizes:

The Gala Dinner will also recognise the hard work of 'Safe and Sound' which is this years chosen charity for the conference. The charity helps to protect young people from sexual exploitation, specialises in reaching out to children and young people who are being, or at risk of being, sexually exploited, by criminal practices that threaten their physical and mental well-being.

We are currently asking for the donation of suitable raffle prizes that can be used to raise money for 'Safe and Sound'.

We will also be launching the inaugural Fingerprint Society International Fingerprint Week which sees a series of events taking place simultaneously in various countries throughout the world during the week 16th to 20th April. For example the British High Commission in Pakistan are planning to host an event to highlight the merits of Fingerprints, The University of Delhi, India, is hosting a conference, and the FBI are hosting an event showcasing their fingerprint training programmes. In addition over 20 universities in the UK are taking part facilitating open days many in conjunction with their local police forces.

The evening will conclude with some live entertainment from Partners in Crime, who have been invited back after a storming performance at last years conference.
